What's wrong with my Maddy Bean??

Yesterday we were at a friends birthday party!

It was a rare treat with the sun being out!

The kids were all outside playing, including Madeline, and then she was gone!

We found her here, on my friends couch, behind a cushion and under another one ASLEEP!!

She must have slept for 2 hours! We woke her up to go home and she came right to our couch. I made dinner she ate really fast, and then came back to the couch and fell asleep again!! She slept for an hour and then woke up for about 30 minutes. Then she was out for the night!!



It was another beautiful day in Washington! When Madeline came home from school and she laid on the couch and went back to sleep! I asked her she wanted to go out and ride her bike or jump in the jump house, and she said "I'm tired and I just wanna stay in and rest!"


I just took her temperature and she has a fever of 101.5! Poor baby!!

The Day before Daddy went to Sea...

The day before Marc left to go to sea, he got a much needed/deserved day off!! He has been working 7 days a week! Most nights until after 7 or 8! Then he even spent about 5 nights on the boat!

We had to run errands in the morning, but after we had everything we needed, we took the girls to the beach. We also do something we NEVER do, we let the kids stay home from school!

Yep, you see it right! Sophie is sitting down right in the water!! YAY for dryers in the bathrooms and a sunny day that will dry our clothes!

UGH!! Sophie's eyes are closed or this picture would have been perfect!

She was singing and dancing for the longest time!!

One of the perks for being on this boat was Daddy got his own cell phone! So that saved us some money for the last 3 years! But when he comes back from San Diego he will be without a phone! So one of our last minute things to do was get him a new phone! He ended up picking a iPhone! He loves his iPod but doesn't get to keep it with him! He always has room for his phone so it worked out perfect! We are going to sell his iPod on ebay to half the cost of his new phone!! It is so cool! I am totally jealous!

Hanging out in Seattle with Christian!!

We were lucky that it was a nice day out!! We were shocked that there were kids jumping and playing in this fountain!! It was sunny, but in the high 50's!! You can tell we aren't used to the sun coming out in Washington!! HAHA!!

YAY!! Christian is here!!

We ended the night eating Cheesecake Factory!! This place is LOVE!!

Space Needle!

We love it when family comes to visit us!

This time it was my cousin Christian! He came all the way from North Carolina!

Can you believe we have been here for 3 years and have never went up on the Space Needle!

Those of you who know me probably know why! It's because I am scared to death of heights!

But with a family member coming to visit that actually cared about going up, I had to grow up and go up!! HAHA!!

Madeline was so scared to go up! She just kept saying "It's just gonna be so scary!" We all had to talk her into going up! Even Sophie was saying "Come on Madeline, I'm not scared!" We stood in line for 10 minutes talking her into it. I finally just told her "you are going up and that is that!" She was just so scared that the "safety cable" was going to break! We talked to the security guys taking the tickets, the photographer, and the lady running the elevator and they told her it was the safest place in Seattle! That helped settle my stomach too!! I was scared! I didn't let Madeline know this.

The security guard told Madeline that each elevator is held by 6 safety straps and that it could be held by just 1 if it had to be.


When we got to the top, she LOVED it!! She was so happy she went up!

If you look really hard in this one you can see the Jeep!! It is white and has 3 sunroofs!!




Now, I have been there for 3 years! I have been to Seattle for day trips at least 10 times!! I always park in this same lot!!

I guess I was so excited about Christian's visit, I forgot to pay for parking! So I was sitting at a table watching the kids jump at Whirligig (I will post later about this), and I was telling him about our visit to Whirligig last week and I was telling him about what I had paid for, and I said parking!! It clicked, I didn't pay to park!! So I ran outside and found a ticket!! I had gotten it just 20 minutes before!! We had been there over 2 hours!! Talk about feeling dumb!! Then I get outside and buy a parking pass and realize I didn't even bring my keys to put the parking pass in the Jeep. So after I buy the pass and go back in to get the keys, I start to wonder if I even needed to pay the 8 dollars to park since I had already gotten a ticket!!! UGH!! Oh well!

They Do Love Each Other!!

This picture was taken the night that Marc left. He is taking the USS San Francisco to it's new homeport in San Diego. Well I guess these two were missing their Daddy, because I went to check on them and this is how I found them!! They were playing possum in this one!!

This was Madeline's first Kindergarten picture! I think she is beautiful, but she had a cheesy smile!! So I made her retake it!





This was her re-take!! I love it, even though she doesn't have any teeth showing! This one was the keeper!






They take spring school pictures now, just another way to rip you off, because you can't not buy pictures of your kids!! Unless it is this one!! I am keeping a scan for memories, but I am not gonna pay 40 dollars for this one!!



I told her to make sure she had a great big smile on her face!! Not a fake one, but a pretty, beautiful one!! YIKES!!! This one is kinda scary!





If you are thinking I am a mean mommy that is too picky, well this is what I am used to seeing on my little girl! This was her soccer picture from this fall!! She rocked by the way!! She scored so many goals we lost count!!



She was also awarded the Certificate of Academic Excellence yesterday! There will be an open house celebration in honor of all the kids in each grade who received awards! She was so excited!! As we have always said she is our evil little genius and she is gonna cure cancer!! HAHA!!
